The Main Buffet
The main buffet restaurant is open from 7:00am - 10:00am for breakfast, 1:00pm - 3:00pm for Lunch and 6:30pm - 10:00 pm for dinner. During dinner service, the Snack Bar located by the pool is closed and resumes serving food at 11pm.
Items available on the buffet will vary from night to night. There is a Pasta Bar where Ariel will cook your pasta to order (and perfection!). The carving station features things like chicken and roast beef and the cook to order grill offers chicken, shrimp and more!
The breads at the resort are excellent (coming from a bread lover!) with loafs and dinner rolls on offer. Desserts are good (and sometimes interesting) the best thing to do is try a variety of small desserts to ensure you get something you’ll like. Fresh fruit is always on offer and there is also an Ice Cream Sunday bar for the kids (a ice cream lovers!). If you’re looking for really, really good chocolate desserts, then you might be in for a challenge, the Cuban’s don’t seem to do chocolate all that well. However, we’ve heard that if you have wine with dinner, the more you have the better the chocolate desserts are! :)
El Malecon features a variety of Beef, Chicken and Seafood selections. Dine right on the Lagoon at the Mojito Resort while enjoying an excellent meal. Selections include Grilled Stone Bass, Sauteed Shrimp, Beef Tournedos, or Chicken marinated in Tequila with roasted spices.
El Gallo features an alternating menu nightly. The first menu is an International Menu and the second is an Italian Menu. We found that we enjoyed the International Menu a little more, it featured marinated pork ribs which were some of the best ribs I have had anywhere! Four people in our party ordered the ribs and everybody was impressed!
You will need reservations for the Ala Carte Restaurants. Be sure to make your reservations as soon as possible after your arrival. If you do not make your reservations early, you may not get the night or time you want!
While dining you’ll enjoy music from a live band at these restaurants. They will also offer you a audio CD for you to purchase. They charge $10 for their CDs, but hey it all goes to supporting their group and there is usually at least 4 of them!
